Interac Flash® Debit Card
You can now make purchases in a flash with your new Interac Flash® Debit Card.
Interac Flash® is a fast, secure way to use your money. This convenient payment method allows you to pay for everyday purchases under $100 by simply holding your debit card over a contactless card reader at checkout. Use your Interac Flash card wherever you see the Interac Flash logo at merchants across Canada. You can have peace of mind that your payments are secure with Interac Flash - you are protected with transaction limits, periodic PIN verification, and zero customer liability.
By now, you should have received your new Kawartha Interac Flash debit card in the mail. This card will replace your current Kawartha CHIP debit card. Your new Flash card features the same PIN as your previous card and you can start to use it as soon as you receive it. The first time you use your Interac Flash card you will need to insert it into a Point of Sale card reader. Once your PIN has been verified, the Flash functionally will be activated and your CHIP card will be deactivated. If you wish to change your PIN, visit a Kawartha Credit Union ATM at one of our branch locations.
The contactless functionality makes it quicker and easier to complete your purchases, but it’s up to you whether you choose to use Flash. If you do not wish to have the Flash capability activated on your card, please call your branch or the Contact Centre to deactivate it. If you change your mind at a later date, we can reactivate the Flash feature on your card. If you have questions about your new debit card or if you have yet to receive your card in the mail, please call your branch or the Contact Centre at 1-855-670-0510.
