For members 18 years of age and older

We are so pleased that you have made the choice to open a new account at Kawartha Credit Union. Our goal is to exceed your member service expectations, and provide financial solutions to encourage your financial independence.

Identification Requirements

To open an account, two pieces of personal identification are required from the lists below: at least 1 piece from the primary list and another piece from either the primary or the secondary list. One of these pieces of identification must contain a photograph.

Primary Identification:

  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Valid Passport
  • Ontario Photo ID Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Nexus Card
  • Secure Certificate of Indian Status Card (issued by the Government of Canada)
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • IMM 1000, IMM 1442, or IMM 5292
  • Citizenship and Immigration Canada Form
  • Canadian Armed Forces Identification Card
  • CNIB Identification Card

Secondary Identification:

  • Valid Major Credit Card (showing the MasterCard, VISA or American Express symbol)
  • Certificate of Canadian Citizenship or Certification or card - not a commemorative issue of Naturalization, in the form of a paper document
  • Certificate of Indian Status Card
  • Valid Firearms Licence
  • Valid Outdoors Card (15 digits starting with 708158)
