3 simple steps to switch your pre-authorized transactions to Kawartha!

Once you’re a member at Kawartha Credit Union, you can transfer your pre-authorized payments and deposits from another financial institution to your Kawartha account using our Simple Account Switch service. Kawartha Credit Union manages this service in-house so that your account is monitored regularly. This ensures that you experience a smooth transition.

Arrange your switch call

Call the Contact Centre to arrange a date and time for a 15 minute call to begin the process. (Contact Centre hours: Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. or Saturday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

Prepare information for your call:

  • Have your Kawartha Credit Union membership and account numbers ready
  • Gather the bills and online statements for the payments you wish to switch, including the following information:
  • Name and address of the billing company
  • Your account number with the billing company
  • Payment due date
  • Amount due each month

These are common pre-authorized payments. Do you have any others?

  • Utilities: Hydro, gas, water, telephone, cable TV, internet
  • Financial: Mortgage, vehicle loan, equipment loan, lease payment
  • Publications: Newspapers, magazines, subscriptions
  • Insurance: Business, auto, life, home
  • Investments: RRSP, transfer to Savings
  • Other: Charitable donations, club memberships, association dues, service providers

A Contact Centre Associate will make the arrangements for your pre-authorized transactions to be switched to Kawartha and they will contact you when they are complete.
