Community Involvement Program
New program launching in 2027
As part of our journey as a newly merged credit union, we are enhancing how we invest in our communities to better align with our shared purpose and increase our overall impact.
We’re excited to introduce a new, expanded community investment strategy in 2027. This will build on the strong legacy of community support from both Kawartha and Libro, and will bring a more strategic approach to community investment, stronger partnerships, and more meaningful, long-term community impact.
2026 Application Update
To support this transition:
- Kawartha’s Community Involvement Program will not open for applications in August 2026. The new integrated program will launch in 2027.
- Organizations that would normally apply through Kawartha’s Community Involvement Program will receive information about the new program, including eligibility requirements and application timelines, closer to launch.

Effective January 1, 2026, Kawartha Credit Union Limited will amalgamate with Libro Credit Union Limited.
On this date, Kawartha Credit Union Limited will begin operating as Kawartha Financial Services, a division of Libro Credit Union Limited.
