Investment Shares

Invest in your credit union. Invest in your community.

Following our merger with Libro Credit Union, Kawartha’s former Class A Investment Shares are now offered as Libro Class I Investment Shares.

While the name has changed, the core concept remains the same: an investment opportunity available exclusively to credit union members. Class I shares are designed for members looking to support local economic growth while diversifying their investment portfolio with a long-term investment opportunity.

Investment Highlights

Fixed redemption value

Class I Investment Shares have a fixed price valued at $1.00 per share. This is unlike common shares, which are valued by the market and fluctuate in price. It means you redeem them for the same price you paid for them – while earning a competitive annual dividend on your investment.

Diversify your long-term investment portfolio

Class I Investment Shares are suitable for people who are seeking a long-term investment, looking to diversify their investments, and who are willing to accept a moderate level of risk for potentially higher returns.

Investing in your community

Class I Investment Shares offer more than financial returns. When members invest locally, it strengthens our ability to support affordable housing, local businesses, agriculture, and financial resilience across Ontario communities.
