Supporting Our Communities This Holiday Season
With food insecurity at an all-time high, Kawartha Credit Union is dedicated to helping make the holidays brighter for those in need across the communities we serve, from Parry Sound to Cornwall.
In the past year, more than one million Ontarians turned to food banks, a 25% increase compared to 2022-2023. According to Feed Ontario, 69% of food banks in their network are concerned about not having enough food to meet the growing demand, while 53% are worried about securing enough funding to continue supporting their communities.
To help address this, each of Kawartha Credit Union's 22 branches is hosting a food drive to benefit local food banks. We invite you to join us in supporting this important cause by visiting your nearest branch to donate a non-perishable food item.
