Member Notice

In October 2025, members of Kawartha and Libro Credit Unions voted in favour of merging to become one credit union. We are moving forward together as a stronger, more resilient credit union – one that can do even more for our members, employees and communities.  

As part of this amalgamation, Kawartha Credit Union will begin operating under Kawartha Financial Services starting January 1, 2026. At times, you may also see our name appear as Kawartha Financial Services, a Division of Libro Credit Union Limited.  

Rest assured, the Kawartha brand you know and trust remains intact, including our three trees logo, which now features our new name. 

Beginning in January, you will gradually see Kawartha Financial Services appear in our branches, on our digital channels (including our website, online banking and mobile app), and on documents such as statements and forms.
 

New Name. Same People and Service.

There are no changes to your Kawartha membership. Your member experience and services will continue without disruption:

• Your day-to-day banking stays the same.
• These changes will not affect member accounts, cards, cheques, and online banking access.
• All Kawartha branches will remain open and our staff are here to support you.
• No action is required on your part.

We’re excited to begin this new chapter and continue serving you with the same people, same values, and same commitment to putting our members first. As we move forward together with Libro and begin integrating our systems, we’ll keep you updated on the benefits to come – including access to a larger branch network – and we’ll communicate promptly if there are changes over time.
