Your Personal Access Code (PAC) is your password to enter online banking. Protect your PAC by following these best practices:
Select a PAC easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess
Don't use part of your PIN (your ATM ‘key’) or another password in your PAC
Keep your PAC confidential and never share with anyone or disclose in an email or over the phone
Don't write your PAC down or store it in your computer (and change it up every few months!)

Out-of-date software is one of the easiest targets for cybercriminals. Ensuring system and broswer updates are installed on a regular basis is critical to keep your devices secure.
Turn on automatic updates
Avoid outdated operating systems
Update apps, browsers, and antivirus software
Restart your device regularly

We encourage Members to set up alerts for whenever their Kawartha accounts are accessed. With this feature, you select what types of account activity you want to be notified about, and we'll alert you through text message or email. These alerts allow you to easily monitor your accounts and detect suspicious activity immediately.
